Sharmaji
I miss Sharmaji .He was my cab driver.Every evening for the last five to six years he was a faithful friend waiting for me every evening to give me a ride back home. It was an unwritten agreement .He called me didi (elder sister)and he thought it was his duty to ensure I reached home safely ,hassle -free every evening. I have never met anyone like him in my entire life and I am sure I will meet nobodyl ike him in future. Sharmaji was younger to me by four years but looked older and ravaged. He was a man from the Garhwal Himalayas. He stayed alone in Kolkata for the last couple of years since his wife went back to their village in the montains. He was a man of exceptional values, integrity and an out and out honest guy. I sometimes felt he was more like a sannyasin
